About HRDI

Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI), an institution of Daffodil International University (DIU), has been established to position itself as a center for promoting excellence in Education, Learning & Development and Research. The institute believes in continuous development of teaching and learning, and hence it highly concentrates on teachers’ training with an aim to develop faculty members to meet the challenges of the modern era. This institute is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) which is the regulatory authority for all universities in Bangladesh.

HRDI designs courses that supplement subject-skills and help teachers, students and professionals develop their relevant skills. It also offers short courses, training programs, workshops, seminars, symposiums, and conferences for students, teachers, job seekers, entrepreneurs, and professionals working in various sectors. This includes but isn’t limited to academia, the corporate world and retail. We aim to promote collaboration between industry and academia. HRDI also specializes in delivering courses to teachers and potential teachers, with the aim to bring quality teaching strategies into the classroom and at the same time help the students to succeed beyond the classroom.

The vision of the Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) is to become the country's leading institute through ensuring quality of education at all levels in Bangladesh and developing human resources for the global market.

Mission

To partner with faculty, staff, and students to build Daffodil International University’s capacity to accomplish its purpose according to its guiding principles and, in doing so, to support individuals’ efforts to reach their own potential. HRDI missions are to supplement the work of DIU in the following areas:

  • To design, develop, and implement faculty development programs so that the teachers can provide quality education in the classroom and outside.
  • To design, develop, and implement support courses that supplement subject skills and help students learn and perform better.
  • To arrange networking with industry as well as arrange project work together with internships.
  • To facilitate research and research partnerships with both local and foreign universities.
  • To design special training for corporates & diplomas for professionals.

Goals

The HRDI works to achieve the following goals:

  • To partner with local and international institutions and industry leaders to understand the trends and challenges in the dynamic business world and work together with them to prepare the human resource of Bangladesh to have a holistic blend of hard and soft skills.
  • To contribute to the development of employability and soft skills among teachers, students, and professionals.
  • To play a significant role by ensuring quality education. Hence, in the long run, there will often be different undergraduate & master's programs.
  • To periodically offer and develop undergraduate programs focusing on Leadership, HR, and IT-related fields.
  • To organize conferences/ workshops/ HR carnivals/ Masterclass/ Bootcamp/ Seminar/ Keynote presentations, etc. to create opportunities for the students, alumni, and job seekers to meet industry leaders and know their experiences.
  • To further enhance the mission of HRDI, expand its offerings to include Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) courses. The PGD courses are designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and skills in specific domains, fostering expertise and specialization.
  • To broaden its reach by offering tailored corporate training programs. These programs address industry-specific needs and evolving workplace challenges, ensuring professionals are equipped for success. Developed in collaboration with industry leaders, the programs target specific skill gaps and ultimately enhance the workforce.
